All of these TV shows focus on the most divisive issues to maintain the insanity which is "party politics".

When all we ever wanted or needed was a little common sense from our politicians.

You may say I'm a dreamer.....

You'd be right. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one. None of these face-boys ever has an original thought or opinion. They're selling ads.....that's all. It's "BREAKING NEWS" 24/7 because the boomers buy more Viagra and the housewives buy more Swiffers. That's the result of their babble. The intended result, I might add.

If we fixed health care, schools and SS, they'd go broke.

Damn, these shows are good too. They hook me all the time. Sometimes I walk away w/ a sick feeling.....subconsciously. I never click away from one of those shows feeling uplifted. Never.

That's why I stay away and stick w/ music and sports. The challenge is to stay informed without relying on these particular fuck-faces. Best of luck with that. Really.

Hmmm, you're I kinda thought...but this helps make it clear. And we still have Ed Abbey in common. Need more like him it seems. I sorta think of Earl as Economics Ed...might just be the "E"...

I think high flow mighta nailed least how I feel.

These talking head bozos--left and right--are all about bringing in the ad's a particularly cyncial brand of "entertainment", but what infurates me is that it's heralded under the banner of "news." We may understand that, but the millions of people who glom on to "the message", such as it is, don't. AND they vote based on those extreme and divisive viewpoints. That's why we never get any meaningful reform.

You can glean more true wisdom from other forms of entertainment (i.e. an episode of "The Wire") about the way things really work than you can from watching a year's worth of Fox or MSNBC.
